A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with students of all ages and want nothing more than for them to succeed. In order for them to succeed it somtimes requires a little more attention than the classroom teacher can provide. While tutoring I would hope to be able to have the time and patience necessary to be a support to your child and their current educational system. Each student learns in their own individul way. I believe I have the skills to get to know your child and the ways that they will learn best. More About This Tutor...

My teaching style is more student centered. I believe that involving the students with hands on activities allows them to grasp and understand certain topics easier. Especially in a science classroom where we are studying intangible topics, like the core of the earth, or the stars, or the atmosphere, students may have difficulties understanding these ideas from a strictly lecture based approach to educating. Also I understand that schools are becoming more and more diverse regarding the student body population. This fact means that it is important for me to use multiple types of assessment and teaching methods in the classroom.
