I was appointed department chair for three schools and served as district coordinator for sciences at one of those schools. I first started to study music when I was 11 years old. I grew a love for the clarinet and played for many years in middle school and high school. In college, I majored in clarinet and also studied all wind/percussion instruments as well as piano. I obtained my BA instrumental teaching degree (K-12) through Western Carolina University in June of 2003. Through the years, I have had the privilage and pleasure of teaching band in a classroom setting, marching band, and private lessons.

I graduated with a Bachelors degree in English from the University of South Carolina. Throughout my studies, I explored various literature and produced many pieces of writing, both analysis and creative. After moving back to Atlanta, I was a Reading and Writing teacher at a successful education center in Marietta, Georgia.
