New college graduate with teaching experience

I have 1.5 years of volunteer experience in teaching adult literacy. In this experience I have taught the alphabet, study/homework skills, basic consonant and vowel sounds, rules to the English language, and reading and writing. My sessions were one hour long, twice a week at the central library system.

I am an English major at the University of South Carolina Beaufort in my final semester of study and will be graduating in December with a BA and a concentration in writing. I recently graduated from Ohio University with a BS in English Education in March of 2010. My last day of student teaching, I received an offer to teach at a Career and Technical school for a long-term Language Arts position for ten weeks. I taught six different eleventh and twelfth grade classes with two preps. I tell the student to think of a tree. in the seconds you think of a tree, you don't think of just the tree. you think of the roots, the trunk, the limbs, the branches, the leaves. then you think of whats going on in the tree, right down to the point of the tree taking in carbon dioxide and giving off oxygen and water. Why is the tree giving off water. most people do not know that the tree is making water because it is attaching hydrogen to the oxygen to get rid of the hydrogen, acid.
