I firmly believe that every child is capable of learning hard concepts, they just have to be taught in a way that is applicable to them. So I first like to get to know the student and try to figure out their learning style and teach them according to how they learn. This helps me figure out where the root of the problem is so I can fix it. Then I like to use a lot of visual and hands-on lessons because children need that to really grasp concepts and to apply it in different situations. I teach him how to play something and he eventually learns to dictate it on sheet paper from learning it. I recently completed a Reading, Writing and Math workshop through North Coast Educational Services, which has enabled me to learn different strategies and techniques to help students struggling in reading and math. I started playing piano at the age of two. This was do to the fact that my grandmother was a professional piano instructor. I completed eight years of Music through the School on The following Instruments, Mallet Percussion, Trombone, Piano, Minor Voice. After completing High school I returned to the school the following year to help instruct the Music department.
