I love to be hands on and laid back. I believe that a relaxed environment is the best way to help a child learn. I have a BA in English and am writing my thesis for a MA in Humanities. I have been a tutor and have worked with children for over 10 years. I have mentored Jr. High students and currently work with elementary school children in grades K-6th. My teaching style is very unique. I start off by just getting to know the student and having them get to know and trust me. I then build on that trust factor while helping the students with their homework. I connect well with students and they trust me. In the end, it seems to be the best way the students I work with learn and finish their work. Learning should be fun and not boring. It should be interactive and not just book work.
