I've been a tutor for the past 8 years. I started tutoring/teaching as a college student, and I've loved every moment. It's so rewarding to see a student's growth in a subject area. I've provided Praxis and ACT prep to students as well as provided help for subject are state tests such as Biology and U.S. History. I love all math and science related subjects and excel at helping students relate to them. As an Honor graduate with a bachelors of arts in sociology, I have an extensive knowledge of various subjects. Some of the major areas of my degree that i am very familiar with includes: history, social science, american government, and spanish. I have earned both a degree in English and a master of business administration. I am currently a CPA examination candidate, and I have passed two sections of the exam. I enjoy helping others achieve their goals, and I have been active in tutoring fellow students in the past few years. Many students I have helped have vastly improved their test scores and understanding of the subject matter. I teach others by first trying to understand the way that person learns best. If I find that one way does not work for that student, I will try a different approach. I have found that many students have an easier time grasping basic understanding by using real life examples to which they can relate. I love to work with children who are eager to learn. I know that for most children having to study is not their top priority, so I try to make it fun. I am patient, and know that learning often takes repetition. I believe that most children have the power to learn, some just need some one on one attention. I have just recently graduated with my Masters from Ole Miss. I will begin my PhD in the fall. I have taught Health classes at the University for the past two years.
