A Little Bit About Me...

My experience with tutoring began in high school, when I started assisting elementary students with homework through one of my clubs. Throughout the two years I was involved, I regularly helped 6 students, along with 6 students that I met with irregularly. I have experience tutoring children with behavioral issues, learning disabilities (dyslexia, ADHD, ADD), as well as students on the Autism Spectrum. I was a Missionary in Panama for fourteen years. Learned Spanish through a two-year course in the country. As a missionary, I went on to teach Literacy and Bible to indigenous peoples there. After coming home stateside, although not certified, I earned extra income by giving classes in English to Hispanics in my home. I also taught English to monolingual Hispanics through an Afterschool program in Northeast Elementary, Jackson, MI.
