A Little Bit About Me...

I have a lot of experience in teaching and tutoring. I have tutored for about 10 years now, starting with my fellow classmates while still in school and now tutoring one-on-one, mostly for elementary-aged children. I also teach - I conduct a teenage choir, taught at a Ukrainian school for 7 years (grammar, writing, reading, vocabulary), and give individual piano lessons. I've received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education and have had some experience teaching all grades K-5. I am currently working on my Master's as a Teacher Leader, with an endorsement in ESL.

A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy teaching and watching students progress in their language studies. I understand it is sometimes difficult to learn a foreign language since I have undergone the process myself several times over. Therefore I am able to relate to my students and provide encouragement. I believe it is reassuring for them to know that once I was in the same place they are. I am patient and friendly, and I find this to be helpful in eliciting student engagement, especially when they feel shy about making mistakes. Thanks to the wonderful teachers I have studied under I have been inspired to help others step outside their comfort zone and learn about other cultures and languages.
