I substituted after graduation and realized I loved teaching. In college I was asked to tutor for my instructors. My classmates came over to my house to study. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ole Miss in 99'. I taught 2nd and 5th grade before going to Falkner to teach Special Ed. in grades 9-12. I helped prepare students for state tests. I co-taught in Eng. and Alg. I also taught MS Studies, W.Geog., U.S. History, Drama, Eng. II, U.S. History, Journalism, Tutorial and ACT prep also. I have experience in math and science as well. My students did projects such as: Greek masks, maps of MS, project boards on MS Indians and World Religions. I can relate to children of different ages; I have three children ages 5,9,and 18.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored elementary students during my tenure in the Air Force on a volunterr basis. I worked as a Introduction to Computers instructor at Keiser College for two semesters. I have a fascination with math and numbers. My extensive experience with budgeting and using spreadsheets and formulas has kept me fresh with my math skills. I recently tutored a 50+ adult to take a math skills test for the CRC. He passed, and was had such a sense of accomplishment, after almost giving up hope that he could pass it.
I love to learn, and love passing that on to others. I am a patient personality, and I may present a problem to a student to evaluate where they are. I have bsc in physics/math/electricalengineering.I have been teaching maths and physics for more than 15 years in different parts of the world.Eventhough currently I am working as an electrical engineer, I teach physics and math for higher grades in my spare time.
I challenge the students by raising a question or writing a problem on the board and asking students to share their ideas with me . This provides the students with the opportunity to think about the problem on their own, to determine their own strategy. During the discussion, they also have the advantage of seeing other ways of approaching the problem.
