As a teacher, one of the most important things I can do is create a community of learners, which helps me determine how to assess my students. Creating a community of learners allows me to open up the door of connection between my students and myself.I have earned a degree in Journalism and finishing up with my degree and certification in English and Secondary Education. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Indiana University and a current law student at the Ave Maria School of Law, I was and still very much am driven by a desire to learn and share that knowledge with those around me. I earned a BA in Political Science and a Minor in International Studies with a concentration in Human Rights. These two degrees have helped me gain an understanding of how the world of politics works, and its global impact. Because of my major, I have acquired a great deal of experience in writing essays and preparing presentations. My vocabulary and grammatical skills have grown extensively during my time at Indiana and now at Ave Maria. I've been tutoring for the Goodwill to help disadvantaged youth, tutoring ASU students in accounting, economics and algebra. In addition, I helped a friend pass her GED. I have a Marketing BS as well as over 15 hours in accounting and German. Professionally, I have done over 18 years of sales training. In addition, I've been a guest lecturer at Indiana University Northwest and a consultant to the Gary Area Career Center and past member for the Hoosiers for Higher Education. I prefer to tutor math but can tutor other subjects as well.
I find the child's strengths and weaknesses. I communicate on their level. I am patient and fun to be around. I can get through to them because of my instincts.
