In order to have a very successful students, I believe that giving them extra time is the most important way to encourage student to likes the language. I also like to know what is student favorite way to learn. I use lots of flash cards. I use this way to summarize the lesson that we worked on. I also believe that students has to review the lesson at home and they should work hard at their own.
I had an experience teaching ESOL for 8 years with ST.Louis Public Schools District, through my work with people from different countries and different languages,I learned about their cultures and at the same time they enjoyed learning the English language, so they can be able to express their ideas and thought. My comments on tutoring English ESOL : I have spent the past 11 years as a language teacher and am currently completing my practicum to earn certification from a well-respected ELL certification program at University of Missouri-Columbia

I have spent the past eleven years instructing students in the area of language--both English and Spanish. I have taught at the high school level almost exclusively, but I am flexible to work with any students levels k-12. Students would characterize me as a teacher who cares about their past, their present and their future. I provide them with the skills they need to enter into a highly competitive world.
In the classroom, I use a combination of cooperative learning, comprehensible input, teaching through music, functional grammar, teaching reading skills in the target language and scaffolding instruction to meet the needs of all my students.

I believe that all children want and try to do their best, but sometimes need an extra push. I think it is necessary to use the appropriate curriculum, but to find out what teaching method works best for each student as we all learn differently. It is also important for each child/student to have some flexibility in what they learn in order to express their individuality and own creativity.
I have been caring for children of all ages for the last 9 years, which includes tutoring and metoring. I am also in my second year as a substitute teacher, in which I teach grades pre-k through 12th grade.
