My AA in Early Childhood helped me to understand how the brain develops and how people learn and how to utilize the stages of development in educating people. My BA in Child and Family Studies has given me the ability to see each of my students wholistically and to teach them according to their future goals based upon their background and goals. A Little Bit About Me...

Having graduated with a BS in Mathematics I am now continuing my passion for learning while pursuing a masters degree in Nurse Anesthesia. My liberal arts degree from Hillsdale College has given me extensive work in all areas of learning. In the past eight years I have taught music theory and piano lessons, tutored Junior High School - University students in Mathematics and English, and instructed Halfway House residents in Mathematics, English, and Sciences in pursuit of obtaining a GED.
I have always been passionate about working with different students and finding their unique learning strategies. I am supportive and very patient, but persistent in the achieving success for the student. My ultimate goal is above teaching subjects. It is to provide the student with a love for learning and the skills needed in tackling academic tasks.
