I would say that it is a little more toward laid back. Being over 6" tall, stocky, pushing hard, being an ogre, hard-nosed, that isn't going to work for me. People have a tendency to be a bit intimidated and fearful because of my size. I will use it to my advantage if it is necessary, or becomes necessary, but I've found being a little more quiet, reserved and coaxing the student to initiate the discussion is a little better. Ask leading questions, adjust and proceed, based on their response.
I have received degrees in Int'l Business from Lourdes College, as well an Associates Degree in Accounting from Owens Community College. I have taught undergraduate courses in Business, Business Law, Marketing, Management, Communications (including public speaking) and most other courses needed for a business degree, such as preparing a business plan or a financial budget. I was Director of the Paralegal Studies Program at Stautzenberger College (Cleveland) which educates students for postitions in the legal field and court reporting. I developed the courses and conducted seminars on federal funding, grants and contracts.
