My comments on tutoring Microsoft Office : I use this program regularly and I also teach technology classes to students grades K-8 in a private school.

I have been a Special Education Teacher for 15 years and an administrator for 5 years. I have taught at both the elementary, intermediate and high school levels. I have worked with students who have been severely cognitively disabled and those that have had multiple attention and behavioral concerns. I am very patient and have been able to create systems to provide structure to keep kids on track. I always want children to know what to expect and have a structure in which to be successful.
I believe my patience and creativity allows children to feel comfortable with their own learning needs. I work with them and help them find their unique learning style. We then build on that style to build their confidence and ability. All children can learn once we find their unique learning "channel".

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been in accounting and finance since my graduation from UW-Whitewater in 1985. I have worked in public accounting, manufacturing and in non-profit organizations. I believe am would be a good fit teaching high school accounting, college intro to accounting, intro to cost accounting, economics, or intro to finance. Other areas are dependent upon the subject matter. My work experience has also enabled me to be proficient using the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

I graduated from high school in 2003 with honors and graduated in 2007 from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. Throughout my schooling I have attended multiple classes in reading/writing, science, history, computer/I.T., foreign language, creative arts, business and math. I tell my students to just tell me in their own words what they are trying to say. When they speak aloud, the words flow, and then I say, "There is your opening sentence right there. Quick! Write it down." Adjuvant to demonstration, motivation and enthusiasm to learn the material must be taught. All the homework in the world cannot replace this! Regrettably, students often struggle due to poor instruction or vague textbooks which erode a student’s motivation. Fortunately this can be overcome with a little outside assistance.
