I hold a Master’s degree from a German University and a diploma from a German language high school with all instruction in this language, provided by native German-speaking faculty. I have ten years of work experience teaching German language to children, students, adults and professionals as well as translating and interpreting. I have four years of experience as a distant learning program developer in German language. As a German language specialist and curriculum developer for the National Network of Digital Schools, I developed the German curriculum for all levels for several US cyber schools, including the PA Cyber School. I'm a German American who was born and raised in the US, but studied in both countries. I've studied German at the University, completed an intensive language course in Bamberg, and passed the final language examination for university acceptance. I've tutored people before ages ranging from 11-60, and of all different levels.

I have enjoyed tutoring math students who are advanced learners and students who are beginning their study of college-level math. No matter their capability, each student's success is very important to me. I have often met with students outside of tutoring sessions to explain a problem, and had e-mail conversations with several students to ensure they're understanding material. In tutoring sessions, I like making sure each student is actively participating in solving the problem, as opposed to simply giving them the right answer.
