As a certified translator and an aspiring interpreter, the Spanish language is a major part of my life and I thoroughly enjoy sharing it with interested students. I received my degree in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and have gathered a vast understanding of teaching methods as a tutor during my time there. In my experience as a tutor, my students have most often struggled with Spanish because they're not able to see the perspective put forth in class. I've learned that by looking at a concept in a new way - with new examples, a story, a different context - the 'right' approach for that particular student can be found. I absolutely believe in a patient, understanding approach that encourages questions and discussion, and leads to a deeper understanding of the material.

A Little Bit About Me...

My desire to teach and tutor students in mathematics comes from my love of the subject. I have always enjoyed math and truly enjoy passing on my knowledge of math. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy helping students work through tough problems by allowing them to make mistakes and then rework the problem a couple of times the correct way. Since this is my area of expertise, I am able to come up with examples on the fly that will target the areas most troublesome to the student. Mathematics is a field that requires repetition but making that repetition as interesting as possible is a fun challenge.
