I believe the best way for students to learn is by doing and discovering the material hands on as oppose to being lectured to. I like to instruct demonstrate the learning material to my students intially, but after that i prefer to have my students try the material themselves so they can see and understand what aspects of the material they dont understand. My comments on tutoring Life Science : I have taught Life Science for 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th grades. I do many hands-on projects that get the kids involved.

If I had to put a label on my teaching style, I would call it interactive. I believe children learn best if they are actively involved in the learning process. Using materials and techniques that appeal to all of your child's senses is not only a more enjoyable way to teach, but a more effective way to learn. My teaching belief is that every audience is different. Children do not learn in the same way that adults do, therefore there are two different methodologies to teaching each learning set.
