A Little Bit About Me...

Although my experience as a teacher appears brief, I feel I have the knowledge in my subject to help students learn and enjoy science. I taught for one year as a High school Biology teacher at Bonner Springs Ks. I also taught as a Title 1 Teacher at Edwardsville Elementary in Kansas City. I like to instruct demonstrate the learning material to my students intially, but after that i prefer to have my students try the material themselves so they can see and understand what aspects of the material they dont understand. I find that demonstration though example is the first step to understanding. This allows for an initial exposure to the material and plants seeds of knowledge. Adjuvant to demonstration, motivation and enthusiasm to learn the material must be taught. All the homework in the world cannot replace this! Regrettably, students often struggle due to poor instruction or vague textbooks which erode a student’s motivation. Fortunately this can be overcome with a little outside assistance.
