I have a four year degree in accounting and have been working in the field for 20 plus years. I work as an accountant and have been in the field for over twenty years. I began my career in accounts payable and took advantage of my employer's offer to pay for my college degree. It was worth going to school nights and working during the day as I was promoted to Accountant shortly before I graduated. I've since worked in various places and have had the opportunity to continue learning. The more knowledge you have the more valuable you are to employers. I want a student to have as much hands on practice as possible.

As a college student, I enjoyed helping others and began working in the tutoring center at Merced College. After I transferred to CSU Stanislaus, I worked both at the tutoring center and for a state program that placed me in one of the local high schools to work with groups of seniors with low math scores in order to help improve their SAT scores. After graduation, I was hired as a substitute teacher. However, the classroom setting was not as enjoyable as tutoring. My undergraduate degree from was a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Biology, so I have a lot of experience with writing papers and utilizing analysis skills in math and science. In addition, I spend a large portion of my time in college as a tutor for other students, particularly in subjects such as Chemistry, Economics, and Calculus. Recently, I have tutored large groups of elementary school students in the community, following a specific standards established by the California Board of Education.
