I first started teaching in 2003 as a substitute to supplement the income from my guiding business during the slower portion of the year. Working with children has always been somewhat natural to me, probably due to the fact I spent so many of my summers teaching, playing, and caring for them. I was a camp counselor for five summers and my primary duty was the classroom. I was in charge of arts and crafts and teaching lessons/themes of the week.
