I have been a substitute teacher at the Inter Lake elementary school for over four years. I have owned a Math and Reading Center for 12 years from 1992 to July of 2005. I have worked with preschool to high school levels. It was an after school program. I have experience with students in all different levels of Math and Reading. I enjoy working with small groups. Previous students have often remarked on my practical teaching style, relying on real world examples and explanations for business and mathematics. The only way to remember information long term is to relate it to something tangible, especially in subjects like statistics and economics. Relating the ephemeral to the practical is important, and later allows for the information to be used in a real world setting much, much easier.
