I have logged over 5,000 hours of tutoring in the last four years. Spelling is one of my top subjects!

While I have never conducted a formal tutoring session, I have edited the work of my peers and more recently assisted my girlfriend's younger sister with the completion of her college essay. From my experience, I have found that I prefer to work one-on-one with the student whose work I am editing. That way, I am able to explain my revisions and help them understand my reasoning behind making certain edits. I'm not, by any means, a hard-nosed individual, but I'll certainly do my best to ensure that the student learns something.
Not only was English my favorite subject as well as the one I was most proficient in in high school, it eventually became my major in college. My comments on tutoring Spelling : Depends on The level.

I've worked with Ocean State Chess as well as in Eclectic Karate providing instruction to children of various age groups. In addition to one on one academic tutoring of various individuals History, English, and Mathematics throughout high school. I've also helped those with learning disabilities use their strengths to workaround their weaknesses.
I blend older teacher techniques and methodology with modern innovations. My preferred method is directed student discussion, by which students gain greater comprehension of the material presented.
