I earned both my Masters' and Bachelors' degrees with honors from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. During my academic I learned to excel in everything I do, which help me master the accounting knowledge I have today. While at SIUC, I was also involved in many student organizations such as Beta Alpha Psi, Accounting Society, and NABA. I have experience teaching many different age groups, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, learning styles, etc. I know what it takes to learn, because I have done it before, and I take what I have learned and apply it to teaching. At the University of Illinois I decided to follow my passion and study both mathematics and finance, this lead to a degree in Actuarial Science. After working as an Actuary for the better part of 5 years, I decided to come back to school to study Finance and Marketing at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. I have been tutoring students in statistics since I was an undergraduate in college.
I enjoy helping students learn the concepts of mathematics/statistics and helping them to understand how to use these concepts in the real world.
