I have been tutoring almost all of my life, beginning in 5th grade when I tutored a special needs student in spelling. In junior high school, I began regularly tutoring mathematics to other students and have continued doing so to this day. While in college, I was employed as a tutor for my college as well as several community high schools. Calculus II is one of my top subjects! Taking this right now so this material is fresh. Other lower subjects I can teach but need a day notice to review the material to review a specific section.

I have taken pretty much all the courses that leads up to calc 2. I always struggled in math in high school so I completely understand what its like being lost in a math course. Math is a different subject than most as it builds upon itself. When teaching a higher level math I like to start with a review of the lower level math used in the process prior to explaining the more advanced procedure. I am also not a component of calculators. I first show a student how to do the procedure without a calculator then after they have mastered the process I will show them the calculator method.
I have earned a B.S. in mathematics. While attending Virginia Tech I would regularly tutor fellow students taking courses that I was in or had currently taken. That experience teaching led me to pursue a position teaching after graduation. I taught Algebra II, Calculus, and Computer Science at a high school in Northern Virginia for a year and a half before deciding to go to law school.
