After completing my bachelor's degree at USC, I earned my law degree. Because my passion is literature, I opted to teach rather than pursue a career in law. A Little Bit About Me...

All students can learn, but in different ways. I, for one, learn best by watching how something is done. I can read about it, or hear a lecture about it, but seeing it helps me understand the subject. This type of teaching would be done with movies, drawing or acting out the situation. In my teaching, I try to use all methods available to me to help the students learn and to use their creativity. I especially try to get students to work in groups and to share their work with each other. I find that pier groups provide the best help in understanding the subject matter. The classroom should be a learning place of activities and fun.

My principal recently encouraged me to become a teacher and my co-workers commend on how the children love me. I believe this is because of my gentle, open and caring attitude towards others plus my intense love of learning and knowledge. The adults I have tutored in the past still keep in contact with me. I genuinely care about my students and encourage them to contact me whenever they need help outside of our session. I also think I am very resourceful and take initiative to create specific guides and worksheets for my students.
