A Little Bit About Me...

My name is Nicole Koerner and I'm a native speaker of Germany. I was born and raised in Germany. I received a B.A in German Studies/ Communication & Culture from Kutztown University,PA in May 2009. During the past few years,I've been tutoring German to children in High School. Some of my honors include the National Dean's List,Honor's List Who's Who Among American High School Students and I belong to the German National Honor Society. I have experience in the German language, since that is the country where I was born. I am very good in the German language, such as writing essays, research papers and grammatical skills.
I love teaching and planning every day activities. I had many field placements and I really liked working with children- especially one- on -one. During my field placements, I've had the opportunity to communicate with children and teachers as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

My experience working with children is in the area of those with mental health issues, most of which have learning disabilities as well. I love my work and I love children. I believe that all children can learn when you consider what kind of learner they are. I believe that most children have to experience learning through many facets; hearing, touching, seeing and discovery. I also believe that children need to be empowered to learn so that through daily activity their confidence and self-esteem is cultivated, nurtured so that potential can be met and possibly exceeded. I come from a teaching family, and continue to learn from teachers myself. I feel that because I am still eager to continue to learn new things, I can appreciate a good teacher. I myself need good teachers, and I would not provide a student with anything but that. I am a hard worker and give 110% for every job that needs to be done. A Little Bit About Me...

I have found teaching to be the most fulfilling and challenging experience of my life thus far. Each classroom environment and student is dynamic and different. My experience working with students from ages 10-25 has showed me the various ways that students learn and has challenged me to become an effective communicator in any situation.
