I am the founder and president of The Learning Curve of San Antonio, a tutoring service which specializes in math/ science and test taking. I have experience working with many different types of students. My comments on tutoring Algebra II : Very Strong

My favorite teaching style is the classical Black Board style that may involve Power Point presentations. I am very patient with my students and like to believe that I have the capability to make every student learn.
I did an Undergraduate in Science with an honors in Chemistry, followed by an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and a PhD in Biochemistry. I was actively involved in Cancer Research in the Department of Biochemistry and have authored over 40 publications. Algebra II is one of my top subjects!

My teaching style is flexible, base on the student.There are three major types of learners: visual, auditory, and tactile/kinesthetic. Each person has a learning style that is best for his/her intake and comprehension of new information. Visual learners generally think in terms of pictures and learn best from visuals and handouts, this style is my favorate and is how I learn best. Auditory learners learn best by listening. They usually like lecture and classroom discussions, and they might need to read written material aloud in order to fully understand it. Tactile/kinesthetic learners learn through touching, feeling, and experiencing the world around them. They do well with hands-on experiments, but they may have a hard time sitting through lectures and notes.
