During my undergraduate career I discovered my passion for teaching. I also discovered that being an educator in the sciences is particularly tricky because it deals with some of the most abstract information with seemingly little real world application. My teaching style is a combination of techniques I found successful during my educational studies. First, I believe the teacher has to be passionate and have a true love for what he or she is doing; this is passion, or lack thereof, is evident when interacting with a student. Second, patience is of upmost importance. In my experience, nothing inhibits learning as much as a rushed or pressured feeling when one is trying to learn.
