I have worked both as a substitute teacher and as a certified teacher for around 15 years. I have taught a variety of different courses. I was certified to teach all sciences grades 7-12. However my certification has expired. I have taught both in the private and public sectors of education. I graduated a member of Kappa Delta Pi, as an international honor society. I attended Cardiff University where I majored in English studies and Linguistics and have been teaching courses in linguistics, language development and grammar at the college level for 15 years. I currently teach in a speech pathology department and am familiar with communication disorders that lead to literacy and learning problems. I have published widely. I have also mentored and tutored students who are having problems with their writing and literacy skills.
