I am a retired SC teacher with 28 years of teaching experience both in private and public schools. I have taught grades 1 through 4. In addition to my BS degree in Elementary Education, I am a fluent French speaker. While in France, I earned a French certificate from the Alliance Francaise in Paris. During my time overseas I tutored students in English as a second language.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of Alabama State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Graduating magna cum laude at the top of my class with a 3.65/4.0 grade point average, I was always sought after for help in those tough curriculum classes like physics, chemistry, genetics and molecular biology. In the spring of 2006 I began formally tutoring general and organic chemistry to college juniors and seniors for the physical science/chemistry professor at my university. In the summer of 2006 I picked up another work study job tutoring college juniors and seniors in Physics. I continued both of these jobs until my graduation in May of 2007. A Little Bit About Me...

I have enjoyed working with children for a number of years. They are fun and truely like to learn. Watching a child actually discover what is being taught is absolutely amazing. All people learn different ways so finding fun, different activities is a great way to teach. Having patience, consistancy, and encouragement are key concepts when working with children.
