Students learn differently, and I try to find each student’s comfort zone for learning. I really love helping students understand the material. One rule that I do have is that students should at least try and not be lazy about the matter. I remember seeing one quote way back when I first started mathematics, "Mathematics is not a spectator sport." Now this may sound cheesy but this is the truth in order to get through a math class you must work hard at it and practice, practice, and practice some more and if truely don't get something I will be more than glad to help.
I have an earned M.S. and B.S. in Applied Mathematics which have given me the needed skills to work with students. I also have worked in a Math tutoring lab for about a year. In addition, I have taught a summer algebra class as well as graded statistics papers for professors.

A Little Bit About Me...

When I am tutoring, my main focus is to explain the math and science in a way that is easier to understand, mostly by using visuals. I try to get a good understand of the knowledge of math that the students already possesses and what they need to improve. I also try to include many example problems and show how the technique is applied. Finally, the student will be asked to work some problems to better understand the application.
