One of the most rewarding things about teaching is seeing the progress a student makes, whether it be quick or slow, and one of the great things about reading and writing is that it is a skill that can only be improved upon. Reading and writing is not something that is forgotten over the summer, and once something clicks with a student, that is the most satisfying aspect of being a teacher or tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching methods are rather basic. I respect the student, and I encourage the student. I have found that reward goes much farther than ridicule or punishment when motivating a student to believe in themselves, and thus excel. I also teach the importance of information. What I mean by that, is that I teach the student why the information they are learning is relevant to the real world, I don't teach to a test. By employing these methods over the past several years, I have enjoyed a great deal of success with my students, and they have excelled beyond expectations.

I have more than nineteen years of professional communications experience in the public and private sectors, and have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
