Chemistry/ Health Administration Experience

I have a BS in Chemistry. I am a very analytical person, science and math come very easily. I scored a 1400 on the SAT (750 Math) so I am eager to help those who want to improve on their score. I am in my last semester of obtaining a Master of Health Administration degree so I have the ability help anyone with the business/administrative side of the specialized industry. I have played guitar since the 7th grade and have performed for many charity concerts during the beginning of my undergraduate career. A Little Bit About Me...

I worked at Elohim Center tutoring the kids at an after school homework center in Hartsville, SC. I also worked at Hartsville School of Performing Arts for a short time period. However I provided assistance to the teachers and mentored the children that had potential, but didn't have the extra push in life to motivate them to be more. I worked at Billie Hardee Home for Boys in Darlington, SC as a volunteer I provided teen age boys the assistance in tutoring them with math, reading, and science. I have earned a BA in Criminology and an Associates in Sociology. A Little Bit About Me...

I began tutoring as a volunteer with the America Reads program in high school. I continued volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club during college. After an opportunity to assist a professor in administering a freshman course, I applied to teach high school in Pasco County. I taught world history and psychology for one year before returning to school for my Master of Arts degree in History. I continued tutoring on the side, but spent most of my time assisting professors in the Department of History at Winthrop University as a Graduate Assistant where I edited exams and papers for undergraduate students. My experiences as an educator encompass a fairly wide circle. I have a good amount of knowledge and experience in both athletics and academics. I have coached, taught and tutored students for nearly seventeen years. As an English teacher I have the ability to teach and tutor all aspects of reading and writing skills. I also have worked with students on test taking (primarily the SAT's), study skills, organization, and various other pertinent skills.
I believe that it is my responsibility to cater and adjust my style to that which works best for the student with whom I am working. In a classroom setting this can be especially difficult, but with tutoring it is much more do-able. I have a lot of training as a Results Coach, which stresses working with the strenghths your client provides you. The exact same process applies towards my students.
