I taught children's church for five years, while in high school and college. I attended Mt. Olive College for two years and transferred to East Carolina University to obtain a degree in Elementary Education. I received my BS in Elementary Education, as well as a certification in Reading for K-12. I did my student teaching with a third grade class; I was early released(Nov.2008) from my student teaching to take a kindergarten position. As a student throughout high school and college I have enjoyed learning and often joke with my friends that I would go to school forever if I could.
