My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : I am NYS certified in Literacy (grades 5-12) and English (grades 7-12), although I have several years of experience with children as young as Kindergarten.

My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : Teach the fundamentals of figurative language, characters and understanding plot, theme.

I was employed by the Lakeland Central School District as a substitute Teacher Aide and later in a full time capacity. I worked for the OASIS Program and later at the Alternative High School. Elementary Tutor

With each new student comes the opportunity for a new teaching style. Each child learns in a different way.
I have been a tutor at a local elementary school where my students were very successful. As a future teacher, I am learning and growing in the skills necessary to now take on and help educate children in the common core.
