As a full time student and a full time employee of the General Electric Company I did not have the time to goof around. I had to be driven and utilize my time to accomplsh the most amount in the least amount of time. Therefore I have been able to use my experience to help students learn quickly and easily. I have spent time with students of all ages and have learned how to make connections with them. As a substitute teacher I have taught in every subject in every grade level. Making the learning session interactive makes a world of difference in teaching a language, and I find that incorporating play-acting into a learning session excites and motivates the student. Using the list of vocabulary words and rules of grammer the student is currently in the process of learning, I like to create a scenario with the student, stand up and walk away from the table, and pretend that we are actually at the dentist, the grocery store, etc. I also like to use topics that relate to the student's age and environment, thereby make the language 'real' to them.

I use a lot of visuals, repetition, and I yes/no questions, and them move on to either/or quetions. I always keep my students alert and interested through lots of fun games and communication one -to one or through cooperative groups in a larger setting.
I taught for one year as a Title 1 teacher for grades 3 - 6 for English and Math and I taught French for two years and I tutored Arabic in a church for young learners.I also worked as an assistant teacher at Gilmour Academy in the Montessori school.
