I am a visual learner and work well with other visual learners. I simplify the topic for the student for easy explanation and understanding, so we can then build upon the foundation for more in-depth understanding. I enjoy using diagrams and still have all of my resources from high school and college to utilize.
I have a passion for teaching others and spreading my knowledge- I enjoy not only helping a student to understand, but to also become a mentor. I have learned a graet deal through speaking to high school athletes and their parents about the college recruiting process. I've learned how to relate to the kids on their level and attention spans while still being able to get my message across to them. What I have discovered about myself is that I learn differently from other people. I am the kind of person who prefers to set aside that assembly instruction manual and put together that Christmas toy by laying out the pieces in an orderly fashion.
