I love to learn and everyone learns differently. I believe that if the information is not being understood one way, then we need to find another way to instruct. Hands-on learning and learning through experience always leaves a lasting impression. Just memorizing facts, although in some cases that is necessary, it is just not fun for all students and just may not stick unless learned in a fun way. I enjoy helping people in any way that I can. I would like to help your child be able to understand what he or she does not have a good grasp on as well as hopefully teach them how to be academically successful. While teaching my father how to use the computer, I learned patience. While employed at the high school, I learned that not only does every child learn at a different rate, but what works for one, does not work for everyone. This knowledge gave me the ability to be creative in figuring out how to best help each student, whether it was reading something aloud to give the student a better understanding of the subject or using an example that the student would understand rather than those in the book.
