Math and science did not always come easy to me as a student, so I know how frustrating it can be for someone to struggle in school. I find that it helps when students understand why the concept they’re working on is important and what it can actually be used for out in the real world. I taught a computer "cap-stone" class to graduating seniors part-time at the Katherine Gibbs school for 1 semester. There were approximately 14 Seniors in the class and we utilized all of the Office programs from the creation of letterheads to the writing of business correspondence to mythical persons about various subjects. Subsequently I tutored high school seniors for the Princeton Review, an SAT prep business, for about a year and a half. This experience included working with many types of students and was a perfect venue to utilize my extensive consulting experience.
