My comments on tutoring Government : I spent almost 15 years working for the US Government, and was a Polysci major at the University of Akron.

I'm a visual learner, so my teaching style is the same, but I can adapt. I'm a big fan of the "See One, Do One, Teach One" approach. So in group settings I will teach a concept, give a quiz on the concept, and then have the students teach the concept back to the group.
After graduating High School early (Jan 2001) I did two semester at the University of Akron majoring in Political Science. After the events of 9/11 I enlisted in the US Navy (Jan 2002). I was trained at the prestigious Defense Language Institute (DLI) in Monterey CA, with follow up training in Texas. I then spent the next years working as an Arabic linguist and Intelligence Analyst at a Joint Service Operation. I specialized in Iraqi and Syrian Dialects. It is my firm belief that if students have the confidence in themselves to believe they can do well, they will succeed. I believe that there is just not one way to teach because there are many different learning style. Teachers must identify their students' learning styles and find ways to incorporate them into the lesson. I agree with Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences.
