Starting in high school, I began to tutor grade school and middle school students through an after-school honors program. I have worked with (primarily middle school) students in several volunteer programs through church youth ministries. I had recently held a position as Music Director for Middle School Ministry at Willow Creek Community Church in Dupage, IL for 13 months. While earning my BAS in the Chicago area, I tutored college students in several subjects, mostly Math and Computer Skills for the entirety of the Bachelors program, 26 months. I have been a vocalist for more than 40 years. I've had some professional training in my younger years. I've also had some training as a guitarist. I'm currently applying for the guitarist tutor position. Although I don't possess a degree in music I feel certain that I can teach any curriculum specified in any coarse. I have just released my first CD in which I sing and play guitar. I perform locally around Knoxville and am received very well.
I have plenty of formal training dealing with all types of people because of my management background. I do well with teenagers and younger children. My daughter is in her 2nd year of college, just ask her.
