When I earned my BS in English, with a thirty credit business minor, I already had fifteen years experience working in a family run retail store. I have since worked a range of jobs including teaching business, computer and English classes. I also worked as a computer systems installer, service manager and office manager. I have taught Special Education for 26 years and third grade for 6. I have tutored using the Reading Assist program and various other methods for reading. I also have many techniques for teaching math to young learners. I enjoy working with children one on one or in small groups. I have retired from teaching but would like to continue working with children part-time. I have been substituting the past couple of years since retiring.
