Learning is a lifelong process!

My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. Currently, I am resigned and staying home, but looking to work part time. I have experience teaching grades 7-12 and working with all types of students. The classes I've taught range from Honors English to a class which targeted students struggling to gain proficiency in English related PSSA skills.

I worked as a Teacher's Assistant at West Virginia university and taught my own section of a one credit course required of all freshmen students while working on a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. While working on my MA in English Literature with a Certificate in Folklore at George Mason university, I worked as a substitute teacher and then was hired as a full time middle school English teacher. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a firm believer in differentiation. I am a very structured instructor, but I will adjust at a moment's notice if a lesson needs to be changed to be more effective. I also believe that it is the teacher's actions that control the student's actions, and it is this believes that causes me to constantly reflect on the day's events and the student's progress. My studies have given me practical experience working with children of different abilities and readiness.
