My comments on tutoring Writing : I have student teaching experience in the elementary school setting and was an middle school English teacher in South Korea for two years.

My teaching style incorporates all learning styles, because I am a firm believer that we all learn differently. I am a very patient and passionate teacher. Being excited about the subject is key to being a successful teacher. However, I expect my students to be motivated and to give 100 percent effort to their studies.
I studied Elementary Education during my undergraduate. During this time, I was a student teacher on several different occasions. I taught high school and middle school Spanish for two and half years at public schools, and completed my student teaching at an alternative school for juvenile criminals. I was an at home teacher for my school district when children were out for extended periods due to illness. I have completed additional continuing education in working with gifted and special needs children. I enjoy sharing my passion for learning with others and love to see the “light” come on when a student finally understands a concept.

All children can learn. When I meet a student there is never an issue of him or her being unable to improve. It is simply a matter of finding their motivation and highlighting their strengths. Unless a person feels that they can be successful they often give up, so I make it a point to raise student confidence while teaching new writing skills. Very few people are natural writers as it is a skill that must be developed. There are many different ways to do that, and none of them should be boring or painful; although all of them will take hard-work and a willingness to try new writing techniques.
