I believe it is very important to be constructive and patient when it comes to teaching. I believe that I am thoughtful, patient, considerate, and compassionate when it comes to teaching. I feel that it is extremely important not to give the student all the answers, but to assist them so they are able to use reasoning to figure out the solutions themselves. I work on vocabulary strategies and skills next. The proper vocabulary background for any subject area should be clear and concise to the student. We next work on concept mapping, and linking common themes. There is a process to every step of learning. I will review often to look for missing concepts. Finally, independent learning is another station that is vital important. Assessing how a student can complete tasks on their own gives me an idea how well the instruction is going.
