I am ranked 12 ou of 496 in my class. I am an Honors and AP college student. I have a 4.83 grade point average. I take eight classes a day from 5:50am - 3:00pm. I am a voluntary tutor for students after school and I have been successfully doing that for a year now. My doctoral dissertation examined college-level remedial reading and writing students in an effort to determine if adding online instruction to traditional instruction would improve student performance. My dissertation explored five hypotheses, and I found statistical significance in all five; thereby supporting the notion that adding online instruction to traditional instruction can improve student learning. While I was a doctoral student, I was also a Merit Scholar. As a pre-med at UC Berkeley, I have a vast experience with in the basic sciences. I fell in love with Molecular Biology because of how integrated the field was. Everything was connected in some way or another. To complete my experience, I was also heavily involved in research. I've done research in stem cells, neurons, sickle cells, and zinc fingers. My bachelor's degree in English serves as an example for the effort and time committed to education and a service to academia. I learned literary skills concerning literary forms: folklore, poetry, short story, photography, personal essay, analytical essay.
