For example, I like to break down scientific terms by their roots. In doing so, my students not only remember what the terms mean for that class but can also apply that knowledge in future class work. As a high school student, I excelled at my schoolwork. I was retained as a tutor for middle school students in math and science subjects. When I entered college, my major in engineering has required that I take a lot of upper level math and science courses. These rigorous courses have strengthened my math and science skills.
