A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children and have two of my own. I am able to meet children where they are. I love to see the "Aha" moment when children figure out a concept. A lot of schools and classrooms are overcrowded and students need that special attention.
As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I have worked with various at-risk populations, including child with behavioral and emotional problems. I, myself have an 8 year old son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and a mood disorder. I know how extremely hard it is for parents during homework time. A Little Bit About Me...

I recognize that everyone learns differently. My teaching style is flexible, yet productive. I believe that it is important to find ways to make the subject interesting and tangible. Often, subjects like math and science can be difficult because they are not always concrete. I look for ways to make the topics make sense at basic level before building upon that ground work.
As an undergraduate student, I was able to expose myself to many subjects. In the past, I have taken advanced courses in math, science, English, and history. I am currently completing my Doctorate of Audiology. As apart of this curriculum, my studies emphasize physical science, anatomy, and statistics.
