10 Years of teaching Math experience at the Junior High and Senior High level. I taught Basic Standards Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and ACT Test Prep. Through my Master's Coursework, I integrated the Cognitive Tutor which was a computer program that assisted with the thought process in problem solving. Through the 5 years that I used it, students' interest in Math had risen while still competing with traditional chalk board styles of teaching.
My teaching style is one of real life applications, fun, and making it understandable. For example, when discussing slope, we can study downhill skiing or rooftops.
