My goal as a teacher is to ensure that my students hone in on their individual skills and talents. In doing this, I create an atmosphere that is most conducive to learning. This is done through proper assessment and by challenging students at different levels with supplemental assignments and texts. Likewise, I typically design my classroom so that anyone walking into my room would have an enjoyable learning experience simply by viewing the walls. I am passionate about teaching children. I always try to find new and innovative ways to make learning fun. I consider it my goal to make the student want to come back the next day. I hold a PhD in Financial Management. I have taught English, math, Spanish, accounting, money and banking, investments, human resource management. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from Vanguard University of Southern California with my BA in English, I decided to enroll in the Education Program to receive my Single Subject English Teaching Credential. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I started tutoring students in subjects such as Math, English, Science, History, and Spanish, when I was merely a Junior in High School. I began tutoring K-8 at a local private elementary school. I then became employed at my high school as a tutor. At my high school, I was given the opportunity to work with grades 9-12. As an undergrad, I excelled in the arts, history and social science courses. However, I lacked interest in math (I didn't get it) and failed college algebra two times! My goal was to graduate college and I decided to seek help. I came across the tutoring center on campus and found a tutor that changed my perception about math!
